Hotel Johan Spa

The layout of the hotel with a roof terrace and 37 rooms forms a comprehensive and functional solution. The reception area leads both to the spa located 1.5 metres below the ground floor and also to the beauty salon and gym halfway up on the next floor. The gallery on the second floor connects the new building with the second floor of the old hotel. Partly underground, the spa has its own terrace and a sandy slope by the pool that is both well in sight and in use. The façade makes use of local materials with the aim of creating a cosy and natural ensemble of material and colour fitting the environment. Instead of dominating the area, the building with its aging materials and evolving greenery will gradually blend into the nature of the quarter.
