During our partnership in the cluster Solar Base we conducted a research of possible optimal size for passive house in Estonian weather conditions. The results showed that it is more economical to build bigger size houses, but we found a point of view of typology. The smaller size passive house could be optimized with constructing extra rooms for rental business.
The general task of the Solar Base cluster project was to work out the fundamentals, logic, case-studies and supporting tools for a modern efficient and comfortable building, rising cluster partner's awareness, skills and ability for services/joint work.
